Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has send a message of condolences to the family and friends of James Ndungu Karanja.
Through his official Facebook page Kinyanjui described the deceased as a high breeder of quality freshian cows.
"We have lost one of the greatest dairy farmers in Nakuru, James Ndungu Karanja of Pokea Farm, Njoro. Mr Ndungu was a respected breeder of high quality freshian cows. Over the years, his farm earned the reputation as a centre for best practice in dairy management," said the Nakuru governor.
Kinyanjui noted that the deceased love for farming was an inspiration to many.
"We mourn the loss of this great Kenyan. Our prayers and thoughts go to the family during this difficult moments. May his soul find favour in God's everlasting peace. Mungu apokee moyo wake," he added.
Kenyans used his post to send his messages of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
