DP Ruto has today held a consultative meeting with grassroots leaders and opinion shapers from Kajiado West led by MP George Sunkuiya.
While speaking after the meeting, Ruto has stated that the Bottom-Up Economic Plan seeks to give priority to communities including pastoralists by developing value chains and markets for their products so as to improve production and generate more income and jobs for ordinary Kenyans.
"Pastoralists sustain livelihoods for millions of people yet they are often mistaken and marginalised. The Bottom-Up Economic Plan gives priority to such communities by developing value chains and markets for their products. In turn, this will improve production, thereby generating more income and jobs for ordinary Kenyans," DP Ruto said.
Other MPs present during the meeting with the deligates from Kajiado were Soipan Tuya, Katoo Ole Metito, Phillip Mpaayei, Kimani Ichungw’ah, Gichunge Kabeabea and a host of MCA's.
