Bad News to Kenyans With Loans and Listed in CRB After Experts Reveal What Uhuru's Directive Means

Kenyans who have been listed with the Credit Reference Bureaus have been dealt a huge blow after experts disclosed that president Uhuru Kenyatta's directive did not mean that they will be removed from the CRB listing.

While speaking with KTN news on Thursday night, the experts disclosed that president Uhuru Kenyatta never ordered them to be removed from CRB but only asked that their names not to be forwarded in the reports that will be prepared.

"What president Uhuru Kenyatta ordered is Kenyans to be exempted from the reporting that is normally done by the Credit Reference Bureaus. This does not mean that they will not be listed negatively if they default on their loans."MP Jude Njomo said.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta further never ordered that the current Kenyans in the Credit Reference Bureaus should be removed. That was not his directive..."the MP who is also a financial expert continued.

Others in the show noted that even if the ,Credit Reference Bureaus do not forward the names of the listed Kenyans to banks through their daily updated reports, Kenyan banks still have a way of communicating together.

He noted that banks will be more cautious and will have to employ interbank communication seeking to know who has defaulted on the other bank's loans in order to avoid issuing loams to them by the respective banks.

Another Member of Parliament present during the interview in MP Bunyasi who noted that indeed, the Kenyan government was for long hiding behind the Credit Reference Bureaus which was a reason why Kenyans continue suffering.

Their sentiments came just a day after Kenyans expressed happiness thinking that the Head of State president Uhuru Kenyatta had ordered them to be removed from the CRB.
