The leading teleommunication giant or rather campany in Kenya today has surprised its customers after sending apology message concerning the unavailability of its most popular Mpesa transaction method.
In a notice on Monday the company said the disruption will affect all transactions offered by the mobile banking platform or Mpesa. The company further stated that the maintenance is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, October 19th from midnight to Wednesday, October 20th at 4.00 Am.
The purchase of airtime and data bundles from customers M-Pesa account will also be unavailable during the above mentioned maintenance period.
All M-Pesa services will be disrupted on Tuesday due to scheduled internal maintenance of the service's systems.
"The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our esteemed customers. We apologize for any inconveniences that may be caused," the teleommunication giant said.
