The ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs yesterday launched a national covid-19 third Wave sensitization campaigns accross the country. The event is to be conducted accross all the 47 counties for five days.
Bomet county information officers on Monday started their campaigns with some areas in Bomet East. Among the areas were Mulot, Longisa, Farmers and Bomet town. On Tuesday, the officers went to Silibwet town, Kapkoros, Aisaik and Mogogisiek in Konoin sub-county. Other areas where sensitization campaigns will be conducted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday includes some parts of Konoin, Chebalungu and Sotik sub-counties.
The sensitization campaigns comes some days after Bomet County was highlighted to be among the hotspot counties. This had led to the introduction of curfew hours from 7pm to 4am and barn on gatherings and church services within Bomet County.
In Konoin sub-county, the deputy county commissioner Ms Okondo had a meeting with the chiefs. One of the agendas of the meeting was covid-19. Chiefs within the sub-county were encouraged to tightened the regulations to ensure there is decrease in the number of covid-19 cases.
