Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced new directors to take over the previous ones from the administration of the 4th President Uhuru Kenyatta.
They have elected 7 new directors. Among them are the allies of the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto. They are expected to streamline several issues facing the KPLC company and distribution the power lines to consumers around the country.
Cabinet Secretary Ndungu will replace the former CS for Treasury Ukur Yatani. Kenyans have recently raised concerns over the hiking of the electricity tokens by the company. Several Kenyans cited the monopoly of the company among the reasons for the high cost of tokens.
The current administration however said that they were doing everything possible to make electricity affordable to all Kenyans. Dr. Ruto said that through his CS Chirchir for Energy, he will implement his agenda of having grids all over the country.
