
Africa's richest man and also Nigerian tycoon Aliko Dangote was among the 2,500 VIPs who attended President William Ruto's swearing-in ceremony as the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya. He is also the seventy fifth richest man in Africa
The man who brags a networth of Ksh1.58 trillion was sitting a few meters behind Chief Justice and President of the Judiciary Martha Koome.
The two, President William Ruto and Aliko Dangote, met in the year 2014 in Nigeria after Ruto visited Dangote Cement's Obajana plant in Kogi state in Nigeria.
Kenya wanted to fast track the licensing for Dangote Cement Company in the country so that the UhuRuto government would create employment opportunities for the youths.
“There Is local capacity in Africa to be able to harness resources,” Ruto said in 2014 during his visit to Nigeria.
Dangote who was eyeing the Kenyan market said: “Kenya’s market is very important to us and we will start immediately we get our licenses, which are about to be ready.”
