The Kenya Power and Lighting Company, is a state corporation which is in charge of supplying electricity across the country. The company provides various electricity services to the customers to enhance its delivery.
Electricity is now widely used in Kenya as main source of power for different purposes including lighting and heating in homes and running machines in industries. Nowadays without electricity businesses are usually affected and make losses.
Frequent power interruptions cause incoveniences especially to industries which solely rely on this type of power to run their activities. Power grid is now also a basic need for kenyans.
However, some places are yet to be lit even in this modern days and some of those areas connected to power supply have very weak power lines leading frequent break down of electricity equipment.
The cost of electricity is so high compared the services delivered to customers. These high costs of installations and consumption discourage the use of electricity hence reducing electricity consumption. So the KPLC should improve their services to customers.
Today the company has announced a power interruption schedule for tomorrow for these regions. The schedule is here below;
