Ndindi Nyoro Is Among Top KPLC Shareholders, Here Is How Much He Owns

Kiharu Member of Parliament Hon Ndindi Nyoro is the 12th biggest shareholder and the Kenya power and lighting company limited. This is according to news published on all social media by Kenyan News Media.

According to the news, the annual report and financial statements show that the young member of Parliament is among the individuals owning huge chunks of shares at the troubled power company. The report produced, dated 30th June 2021, shows that the member of parliament owns a total of 9,116,800 shares, which is equivalent to 0.46%.

If the information produced above is true, then the net worth of the member of Parliament at the Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited lingers at around 23 million because 1 share at the company currently retails at 2 shillings and 50 cents.

The company has 20 super shareholders including; organizations, the ministry of treasury, banks, and individuals. This means that the member of parliament is among the only eight individuals having bigger shares at the company than any other person. On the other hand, the largest shareholder is of course the National Treasury, with 2.4 billion Kenyan shillings at its stake.
