Anyone owning a business always looked forward to securing his money from theft and loss.
Several instances where merchants have reportedly lost a lot of money during a robbery incident have been on the rise. Owing to this Safaricom and other services providers company have come together to solve this problem.
A new trend in the market is the commonly seen stickers in various shops around Kenya bearing the tag Buy goods.
Several documents are needed to enable a merchant to operate a Till Number successfully.
Below I will list some crucial documents that must accompany your application forms.
This document aids the team at the far end of the processing to identify the owner of the shop and confirming the bearer of the Mpesa line.
Like your ID providing your business permit will also enable the service provider e.g Safaricom to identify your business hence give you a Till Number that matches your business name.
Another crucial document that you must attach is your Kenya revenue authority form clearly showing your KRA certificate number.
Alternatively one may open a Till Number using only his/her ID but the Till Number will not reflect the business name but instead the ID holders name.
Stay tuned as I let you know the difference between a Pay Bill and Till Number in my next segment.
