When it comes to the banking industry, customer satisfaction and neutrality is the key to success. However, this was not the case with Co-operative Bank which did the unthinkable.
In a tweet sent by the organization, the bank posted the following information, which many people deemed to be not professional.
"Ni excuse gani haka ka-team hutumia wakipigwa?" The Bank posted. Roughly translated to English, it means : What excuse does this team use when they are beaten?
To add injury to the salt, the bank used the Manchester United jersey captioned "Kiburi FC".
However, this post did not go well with a section of the Netizens. In the comments section, many people complained bitterly about poor service offered by the financial institution.
They complained about the exorbitant charges of the bank, which includes charging Ksh. 20 for just checking your account balance. Some even said that the bank was making loses, which was why they charged that high amount. Several Customers even vowed to close their Co-operative bank account and migrate to the rival Equity and Kenya Commercial Bank.
According to a user by the name Kipling, such banks and financial institutions should stick to the financing niche.
"This does not sit well with your Customers who are Manchester United fans like me. Lazima admin ni fan wa Chelsea".
