Kenyans across the country can now breathe with a sigh of relief after the kenyan government articulated that the prices of cooking gas will decrease in a few weeks time.
Addressing kenyans through the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, the kenyan government has divulged that all cooking gas retailers across the country are stipulated to reduce the cost of refilling cooking gas cylinders in a few weeks time.
The government has articulated that the reduction in the cost of liquified gas will see a reduction in the prices of cooking gas in the country.
This huge development comes just a few days after the Head of State H.E. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta appended his signature to the imminent Finance Act 2022 which saw the reduction in the taxation of cooking gas by 50 per cent.
It is essentially worth noting that the taxation on the cooking gas was reduced from 16 per cent to 8 per cent.
