Which Currency Looks Smart Between Kenya, Uganda and South Africa Currency

1. South Africa Currency

The rand is the official currency of South Africa. It is subdivided into 100 cents.

The South African rand is also legal tender in the Common Monetary Area states of Eswatini, Lesotho and Namibia.

The rand was also legal tender in Botswana until 1976, when the pula replaced the rand at par.

2. Kenya Currency

The shilling is the currency of Kenya. It is divided into 100 cents.

The new series of coins is designed to be more recognizable for visually impaired people.

3. Uganda Currency

The shilling is the currency of Uganda. Officially divided into cents until 2013, the shilling now has no subdivision.

The first Ugandan shilling replaced the East African shilling in 1966 at par. Following high inflation, a new shilling was introduced in 1987 worth 100 old shillings.
