Despite President William Ruto's recent claim that his government has reduced maize flour prices from Sh 230 to Sh 180, little has changed on the ground.
This is according to a report covered by the writer and published in the Sunday Standard, which now claims that prices of maize flour have yet to change based on a spot check with various supermarkets and traders across the country.
Maize flour prices in major cities such as Mombasa, Nyeri, and parts of Western Kenya are included in the report.
According to the report, maize flour is now selling for more than wheat flour in Mombasa, with a 2 kg bag costing Sh 205. Umi maize flour and Dola are two examples.
The economy of the country has been coming so hard for the so-called Kenyans who are suffering due to not eating anything. What is your opinion concerning this message? Share your opinion by leaving a comment.
