Today Thursday, the CS Industry, Trade, and Investment Moses Kuria took members of the Council of Governors (CoG) for a benchmarking at Tatu City Industrial Park in Kiambu County.

Tatu City is the first operational industrial park to be gazetted by the government as the Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The Tatu City has created thousands of jobs for both skilled and semi-skilled Kenyans hence reducing Unemployment challenges in the country.

Visiting the Industrial Park, Governors learnt many productive things like the process of setting up industries, market linkages, and the value chains available in counties.

They promised to utilize the skills acquired to set up industrial parks in their counties.

According to Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, Bungoma county has received a major boost after it selected those set to receive 100 million meant for setting up Industrial and aggregation parks. He said that they will use the funds to set up an Industrial Park in Bungoma.

"We are ready to actualise the dream of having the first ever industrial park in Bungoma. This will guarantee direct sale of our raw and processed goods to local and international markets through a network of international logistics companies," Says Lusaka.

The leaders also visited Twiga Foods and later Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI)
