Minthika Linturi the Agriculture CS nominee is the before the national assembly vetting committee.Being the agriculture CS nominee Linturi has explained quite several issues concerning agriculture but the issue on the price of unga has dealt Kenyans a blow.
Minthuri says he doesn't think the price of unga is going down immediately unless the government is willing and ready to continue with subsidy.
President William Ruto scrapped off the unga subsidies saying that they were looking for a permanent solution to the unga price and not a temporary solution.They also accused cartels of sabotaging the subsidy program a reason that contributed to it being scrapped off.
The agriculture cs nominee is now assuring Kenyans that we still have a long way to go before the price of unga goes down because of the scrapped subsidies.He however didn't offer any solution to this problem and mentioned that the price can go down if president William Ruto continue with subsidy.
