
The Kenyan government has broken silence by finally revealing the new prices for petrol and diesel. This has brought tough time to all Kenyans for the price of petrol has drastically increased.
Addressing via the Energy And Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) the government has articulated that a litre of petrol will increase. As per today's report, the cost of one litre of petrol has increased up to Sh. 179.30 in the Kenyan capital city, the county of Nairobi, the highest price ever witnessed since Kenya began regulating pump prices in the year 2010.
The price of diesel and that kerosene in Nairobi have remained unchanged for the third month in a row, at Sh162 per litre and Sh145.94 per litre, respectively, according to the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (Epra).

The rise in petrol prices is attributed to the government's decision to continue cross-subsidizing diesel users with consumers of the commodity.
