2.Mlango Kubwa.This with other close by estates like Huruma, Juja Road, and Mathare offers affordable houses to the city dwellers. With single rooms going as low as 1500 shillings, this offers a cheap option for someone with cash limitations. Foodstuffs are also lowly priced here.
3. Kangemi. Located along the Waiyaki way just past Westlands, with fare from CBD sometimes as low as 20 shillings, this becomes a viable option for a student looking for affordable rental houses. Single rooms here range from 2000-5000 with bedsitters ranging from 4500-9000.
4. Shauri Moyo. This estate is close to the CBD making it a good choice for a student attending classes in town. It is a walking distance from town. Single rooms here go as low as 1000 shillings and bedsitters as low as 4000.
5. Pipeline. Located along Jogoo Road, Pipeline has become a darling estate to many city dwellers. Single rooms here range from 3000-5000 with bedsitters ranging between 5000-8000. The estate dwellers also get to enjoy the low train charges.
