Several Kenyans has reported a sudden service crackdown in mpesa services this evening. This has brought alot of challenges to individuals who use mpesa services to purchase essential things for their families such as food.
Others has also not been able to transact money via mpesa to pay for their transport back home from their respective job places.
Mpesa services started to crackdown from working normally at around 2pm today. The problem only came to dawn to majority of kenyans in the evening when the service is needed most by many people to pay for various bills.
However, it was reported that the problem arose as a result of a technical problem in system and technicians are currently working on it to revive it to its normal function. The company has also pleaded with the affected customers to be calm for the problem is being worked on by their abled technicians.
Even though the problem is there, you can still go on and transact successfully. To transact, go to your mpesa menu, select my account, update mpesa menu then enter your mpesa pin. Wait for about 5 minutes then go ahead and transact.
