Power disruption is one of the serious issues that KPLC has to address through out the country. The giant energy distributor has faced alot of criticism lately as a result of poor service delivery to its consumers. As a result, it has taken drastic measures to prepare its customers psychologically when power black outs is likely to occur within an area.
In Kisii county, power loss will occur from 0700h to 1700h. The regions affected will be Marani, Kisii Town as well as Suneka.
In Kisumu county, Miwani, Kibigori and Chepsweta will be affected. Also, Kibos sugar factory and Kondele town will also lack power from morning to evening.
In Trans-Nzoia county, several regions including Kitale town and Entebes will operate without power for the greater part of the day.
KPLC has termed maintainance as the main reason for the power failure in the selected area. Early warning will make the people in the affected areas prepare themselves better before KPLC puts its house in order.
