Tea farmers can show a smile on their faces as minister for agriculture visited the companies that process tea. They have a reason to smile as the minister promises them early payments and reasonable profits.
Tea farmers have been complaining about in timely payments and low profits for quite some tons but finally their plea had been considered.
The minister says that the farmers will now be able to take their kids to school and run their programs without any problem as their major financial constraints is going to be sorted soon.
He says that the issue of early payments to tea farmers has been spearheaded by Kericho senator together with him. The senator came up with laws that are meant to protect farmers and all he did was to push it to be accepted. He now promises the tea farmers that the tea sector is going to be strong and well protected .
