"Usiwe na Wasiwasi, Tutatoboa" Kabogo Tells Ruto During Kiambu's Economic Forum as Residents React

The former Kiambu County governor William Kabogo on Monday wowed hundreds of residents, traders and professionals who had attended the Economic Forum that was led by Deputy President William Ruto and other leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Kabogo expressed his confidence that Ruto will be the next president in the August polls, calling upon him to ensure that the interests of Mount Kenya region are taken care of in his administration.

The Tujibebe Wakenya Party leader lauded Ruto for the Economic forums he has been holding across the country, advising him to emphasize on the same forums if he wins in August, since they are platforms that give residents an opportunity to air out their challenges.

"Mheshimiwa Naibu was Rais, usiwe na wasiwasi, tutatomboa 'Deputy President, do not be worried, we will make it.' I want to thank you because of these economic forums you have started and talking with the people, even after becoming the president, do not stop," said Kabogo as the residents broke in to cheers.

He added, "If we win the August polls, let us have business funding done based on the number of traders. For instance, we can start a government credit institution that will give loans to small scale traders without interests."

Few days ago, Kabogo had predicted that the August polls would end up being a re-run, although he has now noted that the DP will be having a higher chance of succeeding Uhuru.

Kabogo further urged the residents to support his gubernatorial bid, where he is expected to face off with Chama Cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria, UDA's Kimani Wamatangi, incumbent Jubilee's James Nyoro among others.
