The drought situation in the country has threatened to spew out of control over the past few months with the government doing its best to ensure that people are helped across the board.

Many places have been left without any morsel of food but the government of President William Ruto has sent food trucks to these places to help with the situation.
This evening, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi, he has appointed three members to a committee that will be dealing with the drought.
The President, William Ruto has set up a National Steering Committee that will focus on the drought situation in the country.
The Drought Response will be chaired by Safaricom PLC Chief Executive Officer, Peter Ndegwa.
Other members of the committee will include Equity Bank Chief Executive Officer, James Mwangi as well as the Kenya Commercial Bank Group Chief Executive Officer, Paul Russo.
The Committee will be serving for a period of twelve months and will be effective as from November the 20th, 2022.
