Central Bank of Kenya Warns Kenyans overincreased prices of Food, services and Fuel

Central Bank of Kenya warns Kenyans of tough times due to the high rise of fuel prices.CBK said that high food and fuel prices, and taxes will continue to put pressure on livelihoods.

Stating this yesterday, CBK'S monetary policy committee ( MPC), the bank's highest decision-making organ, said that the overall increase of goods and services has largely affected Kenyans as it has increased due to an increase of fuel and food.

A litre of petrol rising high to a record that has never been seen in Kenya as a Litre rises to Sh134 per litre.CBK calls Kenyans to work hard so that they can manage these high prices of fuel and food.

In July Patrick Njoroge the CBK Governor admitted that the tax measures introduced in the Finance Act, 2021 would have far-reaching effects on the cost of living of Kenyans since many of us Kenyans are unemployed and it will be hard for them to pay taxes.
