Recently, the cost of gas that is used for domestic use has been high this one of the contributing factors of high cost of living.
President William Ruto launched Taifa gas so that it can be used by Kenyans.

The Tanzanian company Taifa gas disclosed that they are setting upma reservoir in Mombasa 's Dongo Kundu special Economics zone that will hold over 30,000 metric tonnes of Liquefied Petroleum gas. The company added that the gas will be offered at a cheap price and will employ over 90,000 Kenyans in the cost region.
