Corruption has anchored its root to almost every system in our continent, Africa. Corruption has indeed overshadowed morality, fairness, integrity and accountability. It has negatively affected all our systems starting from social domains, economic, security, political sphere and financial. Our African leaders are at the front line encouraging corruption instead of fighting it. African development rate have really been affected by it.
However, it's true to say that corruption resides in different parts of the world. But it is rampant in Africa recently. Africa majorly play along with it according to recent statistics done on corruption across the continent. According to the latest released report on most corrupt countries by Transparency International using Global Corruption Barometers, were able to identify the top 10 most corrupt nations in Africa. The countries were listed according to the level of corruption citizens perceive in their country.
In order to get the correct stats on corruption level in all the 54 African countries, the Transparency International survey people in all fifty four African nations. Last year African countries were perceived to be highly corrupt. The results were confirmed by what the members of the countries related to. It is true that corruption is everywhere in almost every country on earth but numerous results from various researchers show that it strives well where social, political and economic instabilities are.
Corruption is endemic in our continent Africa, as it is in other continents.
