Exposed assets and liabilities owned by the Kenyatta's family after the Pandora paper scandal including the Head of state family, sources have been going deep to expose the wealth owned by the Kenyatta's family.

On Sunday, October 3, the revelation was made from the records obtained and shared by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). According to the report, Uhuru, together with his mother, sisters and brother, shielded their wealth from public scrutiny through foundations and companies in tax havens, including Panama with assets worth more than KSh 3.3 billion.

The extended Mzee Jomo Kenyatta family alone owns an estimated 500,000 acres, approximately the size of Nyanza Province.But the well known land owned by them includes the 24,000 acres in Taveta sub county. They also own 50,000 acres in Taita that is currently under Mrs Beth Mugo the niece of president Uhuru Kenyatta, 29,000 acres in Kahawa Sukari along the Nairobi-Thika Highway, 10,000 acres of Gichea Farm in Gatundu, 5,000 acres in Thika, 9,000 acres in Kasarani, 5000 acre Muthaita farm.

In addition, they also own a brookside firm, Green Lee Estate, Njagu Farm in Juja, a quarry in Dandora Nairobi and a 10,000 acre ranch in Naivasha. There is also 200 acres in Mombasa, and 250 acres in Malindi. In the former Rift Valley Province, the Mzee Jomo Kenyatta's family owned a 52,000 acre farm in Nakuru and a 20,000 acre land at Gichea Farm in Bahati (Nakuru County) under Kenyatta’s daughter, Margaret. Besides, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, owns another 10,000 acres in Rumuruti while a close relative Mrs Kamau, has 40,000 acres in Endebes in the Rift Valley Province.
