KPLC Announces Long-Day Power Interruptions In The Following Major Regions On Sunday

Kenya Power and Lighting Company, commonly referred to as Kenya Power or KPLC, is a public liability company which transmits, distributes and retails electricity to customers throughout Kenya.

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company PLC (Kenya Power) owns and operates most of the electricity transmission and distribution system in the country and sells electricity to over 7.5 million people in the country.

The Kenya power enjoys monopoly of the power supply since there is no any other reliable company that supplies electricity.

Over 75% of households are served with the Kenya Power Company. The Company has mandate to ensure that their customers are well served with electricity at their convenience.

Due to this the company always updates its members on the planned maintainance or any eventualities.

The Company has today announced power interruption dated today 28th March, 2021.

The following areas are set to be affected:

Parts of Central Rift Region, North Rift Region and some parts of Kisii Region specifically Kisii University, Noble.

The interruption is set to begin from 9.00 am to 5.00pm in the evening.
