There's is always a lot of speculation around the wealthy and how much they could be spending on themselves on a daily to quarterly to a year. In this speculations many opt to think that the rich and wealthy spend their fortunes the same way they make them.

However, as it is emerging, this couldn't be true. It seems the rich and wealthy spend less as compared to the middle class and the have nots. According to our Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua, many would have thought that him being rich and wealthy, he and his family are bound to spend recklessly.

This is because a a while back during former president Uhuru Kenyatta's regime, Rigathi's accounts with over Ksh 200 million were seized by the state. And clearly whomever has this kind of cash laying around a number of bank accounts is rich and more so wealthy for that matter.

But to our awe and dismay, Rigathi and his family could be spending less than we thought. Today during the launch of Women's Fund by his excellency President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, Rigathi admitted that his wife only spends Ksh 3,000 on her hair on a monthly basis.

Yes, you heard it right, three thousand. It couldn't be far from the truth as Rigathi's wife is also an evangelist so lying isn't in their DNA. As Rigathi broke this news, it was far much clear that the rich don't overspend.
