One of the companies that have been having issues that risk their collapse is Kenya Airways. The recent pilot's strike also played a major role in making the company get losses instead of profit. However, Transport and Infrastructure cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed plans by the government to make KQ go back to being the pride of Africa.
According to him, the government is working to revamp the aviation industry by investing in the expansion of airports and opening new routes to domestic transport. They are also supporting the East Africa School of Aviation - a globally recognised institute - in its effort to become a force in the sector.
They shall help KQ to get a viable investor who will turn it into a profitable entity. He said this after officiating the 8th Graduation Ceremony of the East Africa School of Aviation at Embakasi East, Nairobi. He later led the Board and Management of KCAA, staff at EASA and graduands in planting 300 trees.
