Olenguruone is a small town located in the Nakuru County of Kenya, East Africa. It is situated about 140 kilometers northwest of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, and is located on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
The town is known for its agricultural production, especially of maize and wheat, and for its tea plantations. It is also home to several schools and healthcare facilities, including the Olenguruone Sub-County Hospital.
Kipsigis-speaking people are the main community living in the area. The area is cold and often receives rainfall above 2300mm per annum
In recent years, Olenguruone has experienced some growth and development, with the establishment of new businesses and the construction of new infrastructure, such as roads and housing. However, like many other rural areas in Kenya, it still faces challenges like poverty, limited access to basic services, and environmental degradation.
