Mumias East Member of parliament is over the moon for the return of Mumias Sugar. He alleges that the reason for being elected is because he championed and fought for the revival of the sugar company. Mumias Sugar is finally in shelves.

Hon. Salasya has promised to push a motion to bar any institution which is not a miller not to brand sugar not excluding supermarkets. Salasya has also called out on former CS agriculture to be the worst on issues dealing with sugar.

Kenyans had missed the locally produced sugar since the collapse of the company. The company collapsed due to a number of reasons including financial and mismanagement by the board of directors.
The revival of the company will benefit the locals by creating employment. Salasya has encouraged Kenyans to promote locally produced sugar.
