In the latest report, a popular business advisor has warned Kenyans about saving their money in online Chamas.

Fraudsters in Kenya have devised different ways for stealing from Kenyans and the current method is through an online chama. Here, a fraudster will add you to a group on social media and convince you to contribute a specific amount of money for some period let us say Ksh 500 per month for one year. They will then promise to give you back your cash at the end of the year with some profit to it.

Once you do that, they will collect your money but disappear when the time for you to receive your money reaches. Even though there are various ways to save some money, an online Chama should be your last option as you are likely to lose your money.

Whatever you are doing, you should be aware of the latest fraudster schemes in Kenya as they may help you to save some cash.
