Important Occasion President Ruto Will Attend Today

President William Ruto is also set to attend a news conference today that is being held by Safaricom, KCB, and NCBA bank, only one day after he unveiled his cabinet secretaries.

During the briefing, there is expected to be a significant announcement that "would have a tremendous influence on financial inclusion for Kenyans."

KCB Group CEO Paul Russo, Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa, NCBA Bank Kenya CEO John Gachora, and former Safaricom Chairman Michael Joseph were also in attendance.

During the campaign, President Ruto and his running mate, Rigathi Gachagua, told Kenyans that safaricom would be split into two, with mpesa continuing to operate as a separate corporation and safaricom continuing to handle communications.

On the other hand, it is anticipated that the interest rates on loans taken out by small-scale farmers and entrepreneurs will be addressed by the NCBA Bank, KCB Bank, and Safaricom. The decision by financial institutions to enroll millions of Kenyans in CRB has drawn criticism from President Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua.
