Deputy President William Ruto today held a consultative meeting with the United Democratic Alliance(UDA) party aspirants from the counties of Muranga, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Embu, Kiambu, Machakos, Kitui and Makueni at his Karen residence in Nairobi.
The DP said that the Hustler Nation supporters need to scrutinize and understand the Bottom-up Economic Model that is aiming to radically transform Kenya through the creation and expansion of opportunities for everyone.
"They must participate in moulding this elaborate plan that will make their lives better," Ruto said.
His remarks have elicited mixed reactions amongst many Kenyans on Twitter account. Here are some of them.
Ururu Kinyasa @Luchibia. You are good but stop this narrative of the wheelbarrow. Remember we spend a lot on education, not to be finally given this 16th-century tool.
@Alternativethinking. You are not giving us much to scrutinize. I hear you speak about youth funds and making loans available, this is not exactly a radical departure from the status quo in youth terms. But the conversation you started is refreshing if it can be accompanied by tangibles.
