James Gakuya a member of parliament from Embakasi North criticized Kenyans for making fun of the Hustler Fund Ksh500 minimum loan amount.
On Wednesday, November 30 Gakuya spoke on TV 47 and urged the detractors to use the funds to start profitable businesses.
First off no one is pressuring you to apply for the Ksh 500 through the Hustler Fund according to Gakuya.
He supported the loan and said, The fund is aimed in helping people who are struggling to get access to funding for micro businesses. The loan will be made available on November 30.
Gakuya claimed that Ruto had been responsible for starting the lending program and that the banking industry persecuted Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME).
He added that many Kenyans could make do with the bare minimum of principal.
Ksh500 is a significant sum of money, and I can assure you that many residents in my constituency rely on it to support their families.
Kenyans might apply for the money and launch low-cost hawker companies like roasting maize selling candy and other income-producing ventures the MP suggested.
