Following the government launching of the hustler fund, several Kenyans have reportedly tried accessing it. President William Ruto promised the citizens that this fund will be available to all Kenyans.
Different from other money lenders, the fund has a very minimal interest rate. The president has been seen stating that their target is to provide small market enterprises with access to funds to run their business.
The fund has also been said to be accessible through mobile phones and ranges from five hundred Kenya shillings to fifty thousand. It has been tailored to fit every business enterprise. Azimio la Umoja through their elected member of the county assembly, Robert Alai could not miss reacting to the launch of this fund.
According to Alai, Azimio is planning to launch its own fund parallel to the government's Hustler fund. Alai's statement has not been taken well by Kimilili member of parliament Didmus Baraza who went on to question whether the opposing alliance is even still existing.
