Kenyans React To Raila's Pledge To Negotiate Sale Of Miraa During Meru Meeting

Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga and his team begun their Azimio la Umoja tour today in Maua and then proceeded to Meru town where they were received greatly.

The former Prime Minister made several pledges to Kenyans from the East side of Mt Kenya region which got them excited.

One of the pledges the ODM team made is that they will open markets within Kenya and neighboring countries for the sale of Miraa, the cash crop from Meru that has recently had a downfall sale.

"PL ⁦@RailaOdinga⁩ pledges to negotiate for the sale miraa in foreign countries including the DRC." The ODM report stated.

Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho also stated that miraa can be sold freely in Mombasa which elated several reactions from Kenyans.
