Kenyans will still have to dig deep into their pockets or rather wait longer for relief on high costs as fresh details emerges from National Assembly.
According to reports, Finance and National Planning Committee which is probing the matter was granted additional seven days to dig into fuel costing criteria. This comes just days after Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga said in public that fuel prices will go down this week.
According to the Chairperson of the Finance and National Planning Committee and Homa -bay Member of Parliament Gladys Wanga, the extension has been prompted by the receipt of new information on demurrage charges.
Parliament speaker Justin Muturi confirmed that the committee had already prepared a draft report with recommendations to fuel costings pursuant to its push for an extension of term.
