Covid 19 let to the shut of economies throughout the world and Kenya was not an exception.
Many social gatherings were burnt, tarvens and hotels were closed and people depended on delivery food and drinks and this did not settle well with people.
There was imposition of curfew on everyone and even inter county lockdowns. Public service vehicles were supposed to carry half the normal passengers and charged double the price.
People lost their jobs as companies tried to reduce the number of employees so as to be able to pay their salaries.
Of late some of these restrictions have been lifted, vehicles carry to full capacity, hotels and bars are open upto a certain period, churches are open again and inter county lockdowns are lifted.
We have seen big people in government holding parties here and there for example Alfred Mutua's birthday party but other people are still not allowed to do that.
For example Dj Pierra who was stopped from holding her home welcoming party by the same governor. This has led to the public out cry of opening up the economy and all restrictions to be lifted.
President Uhuru promised that he only will reopen the economy after about 10 million in the vulnerable age group gets vaccinated.
Do you think this should be the case or he should just reopen the economy once once and for all?
