Worrying News After The Government Hinted On The Price Increase Of Maize Flour

The government of Kenya through the Ministry of Agriculture has warned citizens about the shortage of maize flour. According to reliable sources, the shortage is due to low maize production in the country. The ministry also added that the low rainfall experienced in the country might be a major reason. The shortage might lead to the cost of maize flour going up, an issue that will see Kenyans dig deeper into their pockets to acquire the commodity.

This will be an added stress to Kenyans who are already burdened with the current tax rates. Also, most people are recovering and trying to cover up for what they lost during the closure of businesses after the country was declared a Covid 19 affected.

Children need to go to school and parents have no breathing space in terms of fees payments due to the new school Calenders. Rent has to be paid plus other expenses that vary from one person to the other.

An increase in the price in the price of Floor will inconvenience Kenyans considering that Ugali is a staple food in many households.
