Murathe Off The Hook as PIC Clears His Name in Kemsa Scandal Costing Ksh 7.8 Billion

Few months ago, Kenyans were taken aback after reports emerged that there was a Kemsa Scandal where more than 7.8 billion Kenyan shillings were lost.

And now the Public Investment Committee (PIC) has cleared Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe's name from the Kemsa heist. This is after a report by the Public Investment Committee on the Kemsa heist was tabled in Parliament.

According to the PIC reports, the directors of the company which were tendered by Kemsa, used David Murathe's name without his consent to win tenders. The report also said that Murathe was never beneficiary of such loot.

This means that David Murathe is now free from the allegations of being involved in Kemsa scandal, which took away billions of money from Kenyans.

The reports come months after David Murathe was summoned by the PIC,to explain his connection to the Kemsa heist.

Murathe defended himself, while arguing that those behind the Kemsa heist was allies of Deputy President William Ruto but when asked to mention them,he could not.
