Kenyans React After Details Emerged That President Ruto Is Planning To Sell Part Of Kenya Airways

According to reliable source, president Ruto is planning to sell 48.9% stake of Kenya airways to a USA based airline, Delta Air. The president made the offer to the executives of Delta during his visit in USA.

Kenya Airways has not been making profits since 2012 and the head of state said that it is not his business to run KQ and that he is looking for investors who will help in turning the loss making entity into a profitable one.

Kenyans have reacted, some saying the offer won't go through because Delta won't buy, while others felt it was a good move that will save the taxpayers' money being used to bail out KQ.

“Instead of continuously pumping taxpayer money into Kenya Airways we should dispose all the shares to a private investor. The money can be used to buy shares in different companies, build dams and plant trees,” a comment read.
