The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) is a national trade union center in Kenya whose aim is to promote the creation of productive and sustainable employment opportunities, facilitate achievement of workers' rights, enhance social protection and provide effective representation to Kenyan workers.
The huge increase in price of fuel which is now a blow in the country as nearly ninety five percent of businesses depends on fuel for transport, cooking and lighting has landed the citizens into different thoughts.

"The reasons are simply because the international price hiked to 72 dollars per barrel, 72dollars=7200Ksh and 1 barrel=159 litres therefore 7200 divide by 159 is 45ksh per litre"
" I am just waiting that day where Kenyans will accept to demonstrate all over the country demanding answers, that will mark end of era"
