He started by making inspections along Kenol Nyeri Marua Highway that is being built into a dual carriageway. The President was satisfied with the progress and told the contractors to make sure that everything is completed perfectly and on time.
In his speech, the president said that it was wonderful to open the semiconductor factory because it is a very modern plant with almost 100% of both man and woman power.
He said that the project is meant to create job opportunities for Kenyans and save the country money and time to import products from abroad. The project will also earn the country some revenue because the products will be exported to other countries.
Kenyans were pleased with Uhuru's work and they showered him with praises on the internet. They thanked him for the good road plans and other projects.
One netizen by the name Jackson Ndika wrote, "The best President Kenya has ever had, many projects done and ongoing which have created a million of jobs for the youth. Many factories too, eg guns factory in Ruiru and this one."
He continued, "You are working day and night without resting. Hongera Baba taifa. I regret for not voting you thrice, you deserve the presidency."
