What Action Is The Government Taking to Get Rid of Cartels in Export Of Kenyan Tea?

It came to my attention that Kenyan tea is Sold really expensive in abroad markets.

I happened to visit the amazon site and to my surprise this is what I found out.

In the countries abroad, Kenyan tea is a commodity only for the rich class.

Most factories abroad import Kenyan tea for blending purposes, that is, to improve quality of their locally made tea.

50 tea bags, approximately 200 grams of Kericho Gold tea inside goes at 35dollars abroad which is equivalent to Sh 4000.

Actually it is shamefull for the government to sell Kenyan tea at such a high price yet tea farmer are not even getting 10% of the amount.

The same commodity being sold at Sh 164 in Kenya is being sold at Sh 4000 abroad but the tea farmers are not benefiting at all.

The Kenyan government should really intervene on the issue and pay the farmers well to encourage growth and thriving of tea farming in Kenya.
