On Saturday, President Uhuru Kenyatta landed in Nyanza for a three-day visit and also to lead Kenyans in celebrations of Madaraka Day which were held yesterday. Before the celebrations, Uhuru and Raila Odinga launched various projects including roads and shipyard in Kisumu port which cost billions of shillings.
And now DP Ruto's allies have come out and criticized the launching of projects in Nyanza by Uhuru and Raila Odinga.
Daniel Rono, who is Keiyo South MP and ally of DP Ruto, said that President Uhuru's visit was not development-oriented but political.
The MP added that President Uhuru went to the region to free Raila of the sense of betrayal and show fruits of Handshake as well as BBI if it passes.
Another Ruto's ally, Mp Sylvanus Osoro of South Mugirango, said that the developments initiated by Uhuru and Raila at the Nyanza region were intended to restore the confidence of the Nyanza people in Raila Odinga.
