ITax is an online-based electronic system that provides a full streamlined and integrated automated solution in online tax payment and filing system including status validation of domestic taxes.
Yesterday Evening The Kenya Revenue Authotity (KRA) announced that there would be an interruption of KRA services due to a system maintenance that was set to last for only 2 hours i.e from 7.00 pm to 9:00 pm. However as we speak no one is able to Log into the KRA portal to access various KRA services. The worst thing is that the system does not allow people to reset their own passwords.
"The Kenya Revenue authority informs all stake holders that there will be a scheduled system maintenance for Itax and Payment gateaway (PG) system. During this period all the services will be unavailable," Said KRA
The Scheduled maintenance was set to end on 24th September 2021 at 9:00 Pm but after the period elapsed I tried Logging into the KRA portal but I was not able to. KRA has not yet given an explanation why the services are not yet restored, but the assumption is that the system maintanance is still ongoing.
