Nyandarua County is known as the leading county in terms of agriculture since it is the source of highest number of agricultural products such as potatoes and milk in Kenya.
It is headed by Governor Francis Kimemia who has been on the forefront in promoting development projects in the area, infact he recently made a deal with an American based fast food company known as KFC which will create an opportunity for farmers to market their potatoes at a constantly fair price.
However, the county has lost of their powerful leader known as Mrs Mary Ramui who has been a Community Development Officer in the Department of youth, sports, gender and social services.
The County Governor on his condolence message to the family of the late Mrs Mary Ramui, he has recognized her as a dedicated person who committed herself in promoting the welfare of the youths and helping the needy people.
