Reports have emerged Somalis are counting losses after they failed to secure jobs in the county government of Nairobi after dishing out millions as bribes
One of the victims reportedly lost at least Sh17 million as a bribe to secure jobs and tenders in the county government
Azimio politician cum businessman Alinur Mohamed took to social media to share the shocking allegations as he wondered how one could dish out such an amount of money as a bribeBusinessman Alinur Mohamed and Raila at past event
He noted that with such an amount, one is able to start a lucrative business and get a good return to become own boss.
He said those behind the vices are political brokers who lied to the victims that they would help them secure jobs in the county
"I am informed many Somalis lost millions of money to political brokers and gatekeepers who promised them jobs at the Nairobi County.
One of them lost KSH. 17M. Why would you want to secure a job through bribery? Why can’t you do business with good returns and be your own boss?" he posed
However, he did not name the said victims of the alleged corruption.
It is also not clear whether the governor, Johson Sakaja is aware of the same scandal.
